TESTIMONIALS

My Testimony 2008
A few weeks ago someone asked what I have to be thankful for. This year I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. I am a survivor. I am thankful for Christ in my life who gives a peace that passes all understanding. With His peace I have been able to endure three surgeries and four rounds of chemo, knowing that everything will be all right.
A friend reminded me that our sicknesses are of God too. From the beginning I have wanted God to get the glory from all of this. So, I have been going through looking for what God is doing, and I love to see God move. His people have moved in big ways with prayer, people down the east coast, across the south and up the west coast praying for me; with visiting and caring, never have I seen so much love. My family has been drawn closer together.
I go back to 23rd Psalm and know that God has anointed my head with oil; and my cup does run over.
Psalms 23:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
And these Scriptures below were the two passages that came to me for comfort.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
