OUR HISTORY

The Pentecostals began in 1984 in the living room of the founding Pastor’s home, Reverend and Mrs. Jon K. Petoskey, located in Manchester, Connecticut. After the initial service, one family committed to joining this infant church, which prompted them to rent a meeting room at the East Hartford YMCA. As the church began to grow, our body of believers moved to larger facilities, which included larger rooms at the YMCA, the Temple Beth Tefilah on Oak Street in East Hartford, as well as two locations on Burnside Avenue.

In April 2000, we were blessed with our current location here in South Windsor. In 2002, Reverend Jon W. Petoskey assumed the role of pastor. During our first fifteen years we watched as God added to our body forty-five members. That number has now grown to one hundred believers that call The Pentecostals their Spiritual Center for Life. We continue to see God’s Spirit moving among us and anticipate doubling again in 2006!
